We knew we wanted to get through them and as far as possible into Kentucky so we wouldn't have any fog. In downtown Atlanta there weren't a million cars on the road so very easy. It was worse during the 10 miles before and after Atlanta. I'm sure it's easier to navigate in the daylight but the backups would add a couple hours to the drive. I wasn't sure it was even the right road. Before Toledo I had to go through a construction area that was really bad. A lot of the time I was all alone on the road so I could go slow through their obstacle courses. There was so much construction in Ohio once we passed Dayton and it's scary. At 2am I got up and drove the last 3 1/2 hours through Ohio and Michigan. At 10pm we parked in a rest area and napped. We tried to drive straight through but couldn't do it. We hadn't been anywhere in over two months so we were nervous about staying in a hotel, with check in, check out, elevators and room cleanliness. At the gas station Bob wore gloves then threw them away and sanitized. We brought sandwiches so we didn't have to stop anywhere for food. Poor truckers! This made it a little rough getting on and the xway. They parked wherever they could find room. The rest area were packed with truckers even on the entrance and exit ramps. I put on gloves and mask to enter and removed gloves when I left, then sanitized with a wipe before getting back in the car.
